A postdoctoral position is available to work on the Functional and evolutionary analysis of polymorphic inversions in the human genome,<\/strong> funded through the Beatriu de Pin\u00f3s 2018 Program and the COFUND Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions of Horizon 2020. This study is part of the INVFEST project<\/strong> that aims to determine the impact of inversions in the human genome at multiple levels by combining methods of different disciplines, such as novel genomic analysis, bioinformatics, population genetics, and molecular evolution.<\/p>\n The successful candidate will form part of an interdisciplinary and dynamic research team located at the Institut de Biotecnologia i de Biomedicina (IBB)<\/strong> of the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona (UAB)<\/strong>. The IBB is a multidisciplinary research institute located at the UAB, which has been selected Campus of International Excellence in Biomedicine. It is located in Bellaterra, a small residential town just 30 min away from the Barcelona center.<\/p>\n Candidate requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals interested in applying genomics, bioinformatics or evolutionary methods to the study of different aspects of human genomic inversions. Candidates should have finished their PhD between 01\/01\/2011 and 31\/12\/2016<\/strong>, have at least 2 years of postdoctoral experience<\/strong> outside Spain, and have not resided in Spain for more than 12 months in the last 3 years<\/strong>.
